Actress Stacey Dash Attacked by Left-Wing Bigots

Posted by Steve Markowitz on October 10, 2012

Stacey Dash, a well-known actress who starred in Clueless, is on the receiving end of Left-wing attacks and bigotry.  Her crime?  This black woman dared to announce her endorsement of Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.  Ms. Dash recently Tweeted: “Vote for Romney.  The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney.”  Examples of the hateful responses are included below.

Even some in the mainstream media have been appalled by the treatment of Stacey Dash.  CNN’s Piers Morgan this week had Ms. Dash on his show introducing her as “the most controversial woman in America” because “she had the audacity as a black actress to vote for Mitt Romney.”  Morgan went on to say:

When I read about this, I felt offended for you.  I don’t have a horse in this race.  I’m British.  I can’t vote for anybody.  But the idea that you as a black actress would come under such venomous attacks purely because you decided to vote for one of the two candidates is extremely objectionable.”

Dash, who voted for Obama in 2008, indicated that the President lost her support because of the “state of the country.”

The attacks on Stacey Dash are all too common of high-profile women, especially African-Americans, who dare to go against the liberal establishment.  This is an ugly side of the radical Left that leans towards fascism.

Democrat Strategist Attacks Ann Romney for Being Stay Home Mother

Posted by Steve Markowitz on April 12, 2012

Yesterday, Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen was the attack dog for the Left when she went after Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann, on CNN’s “AC 360”.  The specific attack was against Ann Romney’s decision to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her five children with Ms. Rosen saying: “His wife has actually never worked a day in her life.  She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and how do we . . . why we worry about their future.”

While the White House and some other Democrats have attempted to distance themselves from Ms. Rosen’s rather despicable comments, they have some explaining to do.  According to blaze.com, Rosen has made about 35 visits to the White House since Obama was elected.

Ms. Rosen has once again showed the intolerance of the Left.  While radical feminist have indicated that their crusade is about offering women choices, in reality it is nothing more than a front for the radical Left.  It is interesting to compare Ms. Rosen’s truly antifeminist attack with the class and dignity of Ann Romney’s response posted below.

NBC Late Night’s Jimmy Fallon Proves to beAnother Left-wing Misogynist

Posted by Steve Markowitz on November 23, 2011

The Left, including its comrades in the mainstream media, is in a tizzy brought on by the disintegration of the Obama Presidency.  The Hope and Change that was promised has proven to be veneer.  Some, like MNSBC’s Chris Matthews, have responded by lashing out at the President for his failures (MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Obama Remorse).  Others are taking out their Progressive frustrations by attacking those opposed to Obama’s policies.

NBC’s Late Night’s Leftist, Jimmy Fallon, is one Progressive on the attack and it got viscous Monday evening.  As guest Congresswomen Michele Bachmann, a Republican candidate for president, walked on stage the band played a 1985 Fishbone song called “Lyin’ Ass BITCH”.

The Left in America has become infested with bigots and misogynists who are constantly given passes for crude behavior.  Barack Obama’s past lectures on bringing back civility to politics is nothing more than window dressing.  The National Organization of Women (NOW) will not stand up to Progressive misogynists like Fallon since doing so would inhibit pursuing their radical Leftist agenda.

While the Right is not immune to bigotry and , when it occurs they are properly called to task.  The Left’s silence on these issues when it comes to its own is a growing cancer witin Western society.

Occupy Wall Streeters Cleared from Zuccotti Park

Posted by Steve Markowitz on November 15, 2011

Early this morning New York police cleared Zuccotti Park of Occupy Wall Street protesters.  The City informed the protesters that the park will be “cleared and restored” within hours and that the demonstrators could then return to it, but without the tents or camping equipment.  The City also indicated that it took this action because it believed the site to be a “health and fire safety hazard.”  Some protesters resisted and were arrested with the chants of “Whose park?  Our park!”.

President Obama and some Leftist colleagues portray the Occupy movement as the Left’s version of the Right-leaning Tea Party movement.  That view is telling and differentiates how the Left and Right view the rule of law and civic duty.  The Tea Party held many rallies over many months without a Tea Partier being arrested.  In addition, sanitation teams were not required after Tea Party rallies.

The Radical Left that is behind the Occupy movement has not changed since their heydays of the late 1960’s.  This group’s goals include a mishmash of individuals that seek power, redistribution of wealth and anarchy.  If the Liberal side of the Democrat Party sees them as a legitimate part of their big tent, then that tent is destined to be no better than the rabble included in it.

Another Anti-Semite Leftist at Occupy Wall Street, LA

Posted by Steve Markowitz on October 18, 2011

The point of the video posted below is self-evident.  The under-current of anti-Semitism that has been a part of the radical Left for years is coming out of the closet.  This should not be a surprise given that our current President attended an openly anti-Semitic and racist church for 20-years.

Just imagine the mainstream media’s response if one Tea Partier would have made this public rant.  Now, listen to the silence from the Leftist media.

Wealthy Obama Supporter Ted Leonsis has Buyer’s Remorse

Posted by Steve Markowitz on September 27, 2011

Ted Leonsis came from humble beginnings to become a high-level executive at AOL where he made his fortune.  He is currently CEO and majority owner of Monumental Sports & Entertainment that owns three professional sports teams; the Washington Capitals (NHL), the Washington Wizards (NBA) and the Washington Mystics (WNBA).  Leonsis also owns significant real estate holdings in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Leonsis, like many wealthy Americans, has been a supporter of Barack Obama.  In fact he has stated that he donated to the President the maximum amount allowed by law.  This week he published an open letter on his blog (posted below) that put an end to that support.

In his letter titled Class Warfare – Yuck!, Leonsis takes the President to task for his divisive rhetoric that is creating a rift between Americans in different economic categories stating, ” This is a bad move all designed by some pollster who said this is the way to get votes during the re-election.  It should be stopped.  We should be healing and creating teams NOT dividing and pitting people against one another.”

On paying more taxes, Leonsis says what many Americans believe: “I pay taxes.  I am willing to pay even more taxes but I would want accountability that the money was being spent wisely on infrastructure investments; education and retraining; and anything that makes us more competitive and gets people working again.  That seems fair doesn’t it?

Leonsis’s letter expresses great frustration and disappointment with Barack Obama.  It is an eye-opening look on how successful and bright America’s got sucked in by the personal magnetism of Barack Obama, without concern for the substance behind the man

Glaringly missing from Leonsis’s letter was any admission of his mistake in judgment and culpability in helping bring Obama to power.  It was naïve of Leonsis and others to expect this man to bring the Country together.  Obama’s resume was well known prior to the election.  It indicated a total lack of the executive skills.  In addition, Obama’s myriad of associations with radical Leftists who held American capitalism and capitalists in disdain was well publicized.

To Ted Leonsis is should be said: better late than never.  It will take significant efforts to bring the Country together, a requirement before tackling in the serious economic problems we face.  Unfortunately, the Country will have to wait for a new president before adressing on this pressing matter.

Class Warfare – Yuck!

Let me get this on the record.

My dad was a waiter.  My mom was a secretary. Neither attended college.  I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and Lowell, Massachusetts.  I attended public schools.  My parents – in their best year – earned $31,000 combined.  My dad worked for tips – often received in change – as he worked a counter for breakfast and lunch at a diner.  My dad, too, once lost his job. I remember the angst in our household.

I attended Georgetown University which at the time wasn’t a need blind school via college loans. I paid them all back five years after I graduated.

I have great empathy for middle class or lower middle class America.  My horizons as a young adult were not expansive.  I was programmed to be a produce department manager at a grocery store in my neighborhood.  That was my dad’s aspiration for me.  I would have been proud to work hard to become a leader in a grocery store and I bet I would have been good at it, too . By luck and hard work, my career took a different path.

I say this as I read all of the rhetoric about Class Warfare, the rift that is being created between economic middle and lower class and as the President said “those millionaires and billionaires.”

The real rift in philosophy though is do you want the Government to create jobs and stimulate the economy or do you want America’s small business to be the engine of growth?

Economic Success has somehow become the new boogie man; some in the Democratic party are now casting about for enemies and business leaders and anyone who has achieved success in terms of rank or fiscal success is being cast as a bad guy in a black hat.  This is counter to the American Dream and is really turning off so many people that love American and basically carry our country on their back by paying taxes and by employing people and creating GDP.

This is a bad move all designed by some pollster who said this is the way to get votes during the re-election.  It should be stopped.  We should be healing and creating teams NOT dividing and pitting people against one another.

I know the President isn’t speaking to me specifically when he talks but many times I hear stuff and I cringe personally.  As a friend told me the other day who lives in China, “Every time your President talks of late, it costs us billions in market cap and in confidence in your country and your economy.”  Why do we devalue success in the US when the rest of the world is trying to emulate what we have created as an economic system?

So for fun:  I take the Acela train to Philly and NYC all of the time.  Alone – no traveling companions to prep me.  I have never seen our President on the train, have you?  I own 50 hours on NetJets for the rare occasion I do travel by private plane.  Does Air Force One charter out?  Stop making private planes an issue.  This is a tiny issue for us to deal with for our country.

I do have a nice home with a house keeper.  I have only one home.  I bet there is more staff at the White House though?  And Camp David.  What kind of real estate tax is the White House paying?  Nice jewelry here. Click away.  Stop it.  Upgrade the discourse.

With my investments and board seats and companies that I own, I am at a leadership position in concerns that employ more than 200,000 people.  We do our best to be good corporate citizens.  I know in the companies that I own personally or am the largest shareholder that we support now more than 500 charities.  We care.  Pick some business leaders that you work with and make them heroes.  Don’t demonize them.  Showcase them as great Americans that care and hire and employ people.  Employment is the biggest issue you will face when re-election comes.  If people aren’t working, they will blame you and your administration.  And since you have never worked before in a real job for a real company, you need help from people who have been there.  Don’t push them away!

I pay taxes.  I am willing to pay even more taxes but I would want accountability that the money was being spent wisely on infrastructure investments; education and retraining; and anything that makes us more competitive and gets people working again.  That seems fair doesn’t it?

I voted for our President.  I have maxed out on personal donations to his re-election campaign.  I forgot his campaign wants to raise $1 billion.  THAT is a lot of money–money–money–money!  Money still talks.  It blows my mind when I am asked for money as a donation at the same time I am getting blasted as being a bad guy!

Someone needs to talk our President down off of this rhetoric about good vs. evil; about two classes and math.

Our country was founded on the premise of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.  Is anyone happy right now with all of this?

Hit a reset button ASAP.

Rethink how to talk to businesses and sell business leaders on your plan to make America great!

Many of us want to be a part of the solution.  We aren’t the problem.

Michael Moore Threatens Violence against Wealthier Americans

Posted by Steve Markowitz on September 25, 2011

Michael Moore is at it again. This time on a recent “Countdown” with ultra-liberal hosts Keith Olbermann, Moore showed signs of desperation seen from other Progressives, as the presidency of Barack Obama is melting down.  Moore backhandedly threatened violence against wealthier Americans stating:

“The smart rich know they can only build the gate so high.  And, and, sooner or later history proves that people when they’ve had enough aren’t going to take it anymore.  And much better to deal with it nonviolently now, through the political system, than what could possibly happen in the future, which nobody wants to see.”

The rhetoric from the radical Left is ratcheting up.  The fact that some is coming from wealthy Leftists might be somewhat humorous if not for the danger caused to the fabric of American society.

According to celebritynetworth.com, Moore is worth in excess of $50 million.  Add two that the obviously large carbon footprint required to support his huge physique and you have one huge hypocrite.

President Obama, the leader of the Democratic Party, should castigate not only those promoting violence in his Party, but also that hate language used to define people who disagree with the Progressive view of the world.  The President has instead fermented class warfare that emboldens the radical left to use these tactics.  So much for the man that promised to be president of both Red and Blue states.

Former NPR Boss Vivian Schiller is Back

Posted by Steve Markowitz on June 5, 2011

Vivian Schiller has been the subject of this Blog’s previous postings including NPR’s President Vivian Schiller Resigns posted March 9, 2011.  Her forced resignation from NPR came after she was caught on tape attacking Republicans and conservatives in her fundraising efforts on behalf of the network.  Last fall she also was involved with the controversial firing of NPR commentator Juan Williams after his comments about Muslims on airplanes.

NBC News on Thursday rewarded Ms. Schiller, hiring her for a new role of overseeing its news unit’s digital strategy, which includes the website and mobile devices business.  Given NBC’s radical Leftist bias over the years, the recycling of Ms. Schiller is of little surprise.

NBC’s ratings have been heading south for years, in part because of its Leftist bent.  Ms. Schilling will therefore not help improve its ratings and her hiring at NBC must have the folks at Fox News sharing some high-fives.

American Troops to Stay in Iraq; Another Broken Obama Promise

Posted by Steve Markowitz on April 26, 2011

Since the early days of his campaign for the presidency, Barrack Obama has been big on the rhetoric and light on action.  One of the most promoted themes of his campaign was the promise that if elected, he would bring all troops home from of Iraq by the end of 2011.  As late as August, 2010, the President said:

The bottom line is: The war is ending. Like any sovereign independent nation, Iraq is free to chart its own course.  And by the end of the year (2011), all of our troops will be home“.

Like so many other promises of the President, it looks like this one is gang to be broken too.  Stratfor.com today reported that:  “The United States told the Iraqi government last week that if it wants U.S. troops to remain in Iraq beyond the deadline of Dec. 31, 2011”.  The bottom line is that the U.S. now wants its forces to stay in Iraq given the instability occurring in the Middle East.

Don’t look to the adoring press to ask Obama the tough questions on yet another one of his broken campaign promises.  However, look to the Radical Left to become some of Obama’s biggest critics in the months ahead.

Michael Moore Shows True Intentions of Progressives: Socialism

Posted by Steve Markowitz on March 3, 2011

While many Progressives have a socialist agenda, most hide it behind buzz word such as “fairness” and “rights”.  But there are those that are more honest with their agenda, as in the case of film maker Michael Moore.  While the video clip below shows Moore to be lacking of any understanding of economics, he is a least honest in his openly socialist beliefs for America.

Moore sates:  We’re not broke.  This Country is not broke.  The state of Wisconsin is not broke.  There’s a ton of cash in this Country.  Trillions of dollars of it. Let see, in 2010 we added about $1.5 trillion to the U.S. deficit with the total deficit now is in excess of $14 trillion.  With this reality Moore concludes that the U.S. is not broke and is awash with cash.  It is doubtful that Bernie Madoff could say that with a straight face.

Moore then states:“They’re sitting on the money, they’re using it for their own – they’re putting it someplace else with no interest in helping you with your life, with that money.  We’ve allowed them to take that.  That’s not theirs, that’s a national resource, that’s ours.  We all have this – we all benefit from this or we all suffer as a result of not having it.” This in no uncertain terms is socialism, period and Moore represents that radical left that is hijacking the Democrat Party.  John Kennedy must be turning in his grave.
