What does Progressive Leftist Bill Maher do when he is unhappy with President Obama? He resorts spouting anti-Semitism. This past Friday Maher said (video below):
“I heard him a couple of times saying, “You know what? We met the Republicans what they asked, and then we gave them more.” That’s like your lawyer saying to you, “You know, I went into the chambers with the judge and the prosecutor, and my first offer was 40 years to life for you. And I think I can get your tailgating charge moved up to manslaughter. And that’s my first offer.” What is wrong with these people? He is a terrible negotiator. Does he not even know a Jew?”
Adding an exclamation point to his bigotry, Maher then showed a poster for replacing Glenn Beck on Fox News that depicted Joe Lieberman doing a program called, “Morning Jew.”
For years bigotry has been gaining traction in Leftist circles. In earlier years it manifested itself mainly on the Left’s fringes with the likes of Louis Farrakhan and Pastor Wright. It is becoming more mainstream in the Left. Maher joins other Leftist bigots, as previously post on this Blog:
NPR’s Vivian Schiller attacking Zionist and Christians.
Code Pink calling for Clarence Thomas to be lynched.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell saying the Michael Steele answers to “his masters”.
Helen Thomas telling Jews to go back to Germany.
Oliver Stone indicating that Jews have overblown the Holocaust.
Congressman Paul Kanjorski demeaning minorities.
MSNBC’s Chris Mathews forgets that Obama is black for a few minutes.
Cynthia Tucker taking off on Michael because he is black.
When examples of racism and bigotry from the Left are outed, inevitably Progressive elitists offer excuses such as “they know what is in the person’s heart and therefore that person could not be a racists”. The Left has wrapped racism in the covers of political correctness for their own continence. This is a dangerous slippery slope that can lead to fascism. It is the same slide that allowed half the country to vote for president a man who admittedly attended a bigoted church for twenty years.

A bipartisan Senate report released earlier this month concluded that both the Department of Defense (DOD) and FBI had enough information about Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan prior to the Fort Hood massacre to have acted before he was able to kill 13 soldiers and wound over 30 others. The report, authored by Senators Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins, concluded that the DOD and FBI knew of Hasan’s Islamist radicalization “but failed both to understand and to act on it” and further stated that:
- “Although both the public and the private signs of Hasan’s radicalization to violent Islamist extremism while on active duty were known to government officials, a string of failures prevented these officials from intervening against him prior to the attack.”
- Hasan’s move into Islamist extremism “was on full display to his superiors and colleagues during his military medical training.”
- The report also found that a DOD instructor called Hasan “a ticking time bomb.”
- “Not only was no action taken to discipline or discharge him, but also his Officer Evaluation Reports sanitized his obsession with violent Islamist extremism into praiseworthy research on counterterrorism.”
- “DOD possessed compelling evidence that Hasan embraced views so extreme that it should have disciplined him or discharged him from the military, but DoD failed to take action against him.”
The FBI responded to the Senate’s rebuke by saying: “The FBI recognizes the value of congressional oversight and agrees with much in the report and many of its recommendations. During the internal FBI review undertaken immediately after the attack at Fort Hood, we identified several of the areas of concern outlined in the report, and, as noted in the report, have implemented changes to our systems and processes to address them. We will review each of the report’s recommendations and adopt them, as appropriate.” Such words/excuses are of little consolation to those that lost love ones in the massacre.
It is clear that the Fort Hood killings were avoidable. The dead were not only victims of radical Islam, also of political correctness and government incompetence. The errors and resulting deaths demand that those responsible up to the Attorney General be fired. They also demand that political correctness be understood as a clear and present danger to democracy.

As we start the New Year it is comforting (disconcerting) to realize that uniformed Progressives remain uninformed. One the Left’s start bloggers helped drive this point home on MSNBC last week. The network’s Leftist commentator, Norah O’Donnell, begins by remarking how unusual it is that Republicans are starting the new session of Congress by reading the Constitution. Imaging the gall of the GOP invoking such a radical document to guide them in the coming year!
Then, in an effort to legitimize MSNBC’s assertion that reading the Constitution is somehow blasphemy, O’Donnell brings in network contributor editor and staff writer for the Washington Post, Ezra Klein. He merely took O’Donnell’s radical assertion and made it idiotic. First, Klein intimates that the Constitution “has no binding power on anything”. Then proving how little Klein knows about the Constitution, he says “the text is confusing because it was written more than 100 years ago”.
Mr. Klein, given that you are off on the Constitution’s origin date buy over 100 years, it is doubtful that you even took the time to read the document. But that should not surprise anyone. You are the same gentleman that accused Senator Joe Lieberman of being “willing to cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in order to settle an old electoral score“.
Klein has proved to be a uniformed knucklehead. As for a network that would look to Klein for intellectual guidance, they are merely supplying entertainment for their Progressive constituents. Those that drink from the Kool-Aid seem to enjoy this gibberish.
