A little levity for a weekend that has been too serious.

MSNBC announced that it is not renewing its contract with Keith Olbermann resulting in the show’s immediate cancellation. No, MSNBC has not developed a conscience. Olbermann was undoubtedly let go because few people watched his show. Even this Leftist media bastion will not let ideology get in the way of capitalism.

The Keith Olbermann/MSNBC soap-opera continues. On Friday the network indefinitely suspended the Leftie commentator for a breach of corporate rules: i.e. donating funds to political candidates without informing the network.
Then, MSNBC announced that Olbermann’s replacement would be Left-winger Chris Hayes, editor of the Progressive magazine, The Nation. Within two days Hayes was given the boot when MSNBC determined that he too contributed to the Democrats.
The outrage on the Left was predictable. Colleague and fellow Leftie Rachel Maddow chastised the network on the air for daring to call Olbermann on his transgression. In typical progressive fashion, Maddow’s used elegant words that meant that rules are for others to follow, not a card carrying member of the Progressive movement like Olbermann.
Maddow’s protest was joined by 300,000 Leftist zealots that demanded the return of their venom-spewing hero. MSNBC should grit and determination, holding out for nearly three days before caving in. Fear not, Olbermann will be back Tuesday evening after his two-day suspension. Progressives can be assured of their nightly Kool-aid drinks that will continue to keep them out of touch with the American people.
It is interesting how Progressives dole out punishment. When Juan Williams was found in breach of NPR’s employee rules, i.e. daring to go on Fox News, he was summarily fired. In Olbermann’s case, MSNBC hands out a two-day suspension for the breach of employee rules. Why the disparity? Progressives would undoubtedly raise the race issue since Williams is black and Olbermann is white. But the issue is simpler: Williams was on the wrong side of Progressive propaganda.

Last week MSNBC fired (technically he’s on leave) ultra-Leftist commentator Keith Olbermann. Initial reports indicated Olbermann was let go because he broke network ethics codes and donated funds to Democrat candidates without informing MSNBC. More recently Politico indicated that there is more to the store reporting: “Network sources tell Playbook that Keith Olbermann was suspended because he refused to deliver an on-camera mea culpa, which would have allowed him to continue anchoring “Countdown.” Olbermann told his bosses he didn’t know he was barred from making campaign contributions, although he is resisting saying that publicly.” It’s just like Progressives to refuse to apologize for their errors. It is likely that Olbermann will blame some right-wing conspiracy for his troubles.
After firing Olbermann, MSNBC came up with a predictable left-wing replacement, Chris Hayes, editor of the Progressive bible (magazine), The Nation. But just a few days later Hayes was given the boot when MSNBC determined that he too contributed to the Democrats, according to the Wall Street Journal.
What is remarkable about all of this is that MSNBC was surprised that the radical-Lefties they hire contribute to Leftist candidates. Duh!!!!!! Just as remarkable is the pointed attack by the Left and President Obama on Fox News for being biased to the Right. While it is fair to say that Fox News has a rightward tilt, no one on that network approaches the outrageous rhetoric that comes from the Olbermann’s and Maddow’s at MSNBC.
The problem that the Left has with cable news is not the content, but the fact that right-tilting Fox News is successful while few are watching the Leftist networks.

Ultra Leftists commentator Keith Olbermann was suspended Friday evening for a breach of an MSNBC employee policy. To the surprise of no one, Keith was backing Liberal Democrats, which included making campaign contributions. Those contributions were a direct breach of his contractual terms with MSNBC.
The suspension was announced by the Network in the following statement:
“I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.”
OK, so Keith got caught with his hands in the cookie jar and must face the consequences. Simple, right? No, not when it comes to fellow Lefty and MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow. Incredibly, instead of focusing on Keith’s breach of Network policy, she goes on the attack of Fox News for not having the same rules as MSNBC. The video below is an incredible display of Maddow whining. Wow, sure sounds like the same strategy used by Progrssives in Washington. Make a mistake; blame others. Grow up Ms. Maddow.
MSNBC’s suspension of Olbermann comes at a time when its ratings are in the tank. It is clear that the consumers who watch the news and listen to commentators do not like the product being sold by this network. That reality has not gone unnoticed by the Network’s management and probably played a role in the harsh punishment handed down to Olbermann.
Ms. Maddow, you might want to watch your back too.

It was amusing, if not sad, to watch the Leftist news media become unglued leading up to Tuesday evening as it became apparent that that the Kennedy Senate seat was going to Republican Scott Brown. Instead of analyzing why the winds of change became hurricane strength, these “news” commentators went from bewilderment to anger at the people expressed their will. The Lame-stream media no longer even attempts to cover up its Leftist bias.
There is no better poster child for the sad state of what masquerades for news commentators and reporters than MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. He not only has shown a blatant bias to the far Left, but also a mean-spirited attack on anyone that disagrees with the Left, something that has become a trademark of the Left in general. Disagree with them and they label you as ignorant, racist or some other name calling that allows them to pass on political discourse. This Fascist approach should be of concern to all Americans.
In April 2009, discontent to President Obama’s stimulus plan and bailouts showed itself in what was referred to as Tea Parties across the country. The Democrats and their friends in the press brushed off this “movement” as a fringe group that didn’t represent the views of the American people. They were wrong. That discontent has since swelled into a tsunami that showed itself, first in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial elections, and now in that most Democrat of states, Massachusetts. Should the Democrats continue to ignore the will of the people, the shockwave felt last night in Massachusetts will be followed up with an explosion in the November elections.
I follow with a video of Olbermann’s election eve rant. For those on the Right that view it, use it as an object lesson on what not to do when you come to power again. America is diverse country and we must respect that diversity, unlike the Olbermann’s on the Left. For those on the Left including President Obama, I would hope that you find Olbermann’s rant unacceptable and publically call him on. Unless you purge you movement of such people, you will become a fringe movement.
