Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, is a freelance journalist who sometimes works with Bill Maher. While one might expect the combination of these two will result in only Leftist dribble, Alexandra Pelosi has shown superior intellect and common sense than that of her mother.
Earlier this month Alexandra showed a clip on Maher’s show that included brief interviews with some Southerners who were fairly characterized as rednecks. The folks interviewed were lacking in certain logic skills and intellectual capabilities. Not surprisingly, in the show it was brought out that Mississippi is a Republican state, which allowed Bill Maher and his Leftist audience to have some good laughs.
After the laughs subsided, Maher then did something he since likely regretted. He invited young Pelosi to come up with a video that would make the Left uncomfortable. She was more than up to the task, as seen in the video below. Alexandra, a New Yorker, decided to interview folks at the local welfare office within a block of her apartment stating: “It’s not as if I have to go too far to find the freeloading welfare queens.” Those interviewed are bilking the system and Pelosi appropriately compared to them to other leeches, including some industries, that are living off the American taxpayer.
During the on-air discussion with Maher, Pelosi took her fellow Democrats to task for helping to create the entitlement mentality and chastising the mainstream media for the death of journalism. She concluded that her Democrat Party is losing the working man that for many years was the center of the Party’s strength because of related issues.
While this Blog has previously posted videos from Maher’s show, the purpose was mainly to show how despicable an individual Bill Maher is. The video below falls in the category of good journalism. It is evident that Alexandra Pelosi has a clearer view of the world than her more famous mother, Nancy Pelosi.

As we start the New Year it is comforting (disconcerting) to realize that uniformed Progressives remain uninformed. One the Left’s start bloggers helped drive this point home on MSNBC last week. The network’s Leftist commentator, Norah O’Donnell, begins by remarking how unusual it is that Republicans are starting the new session of Congress by reading the Constitution. Imaging the gall of the GOP invoking such a radical document to guide them in the coming year!
Then, in an effort to legitimize MSNBC’s assertion that reading the Constitution is somehow blasphemy, O’Donnell brings in network contributor editor and staff writer for the Washington Post, Ezra Klein. He merely took O’Donnell’s radical assertion and made it idiotic. First, Klein intimates that the Constitution “has no binding power on anything”. Then proving how little Klein knows about the Constitution, he says “the text is confusing because it was written more than 100 years ago”.
Mr. Klein, given that you are off on the Constitution’s origin date buy over 100 years, it is doubtful that you even took the time to read the document. But that should not surprise anyone. You are the same gentleman that accused Senator Joe Lieberman of being “willing to cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in order to settle an old electoral score“.
Klein has proved to be a uniformed knucklehead. As for a network that would look to Klein for intellectual guidance, they are merely supplying entertainment for their Progressive constituents. Those that drink from the Kool-Aid seem to enjoy this gibberish.

Yes, Democrat Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland has introduced the so-called “Newspaper Revitalization Act“, a bill designed to give outlets tax deals if they restructure as 501(c)3 corporations. The bill is cosponsored by the other Maryland Democrat Senator Barbara Mikulski.
When interviewed by editors of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Toledo Blade, President Obama indicated that he would be “happy to look at it“, referring to the bill. He further stated that good journalism is “critical to the health of our democracy“. Read the rest of this entry »

An independent press is crucial for a strong democracy. Unfortunately, this country’s mainstream news media has abdicated its independence. The public’s acquiescence to this action is even of more concern to me.
As far back as I can remember, the mainstream news media has always been Left leaning. However, up until recent years, the major networks have tried to maintain some semblance of independent journalism. Those efforts are now gone. The following are but a few examples of the blatant bias the networks now show: Read the rest of this entry »
