The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a report last week estimating that Obamacare (Affordable Healthcare Act) will result in approximately 2,000,000 jobs lost in the United States. VP Joe Biden recently on The View was asked about this consequence of the Act and his incredible answer was: “Look, this is a really good report.” Yikes!
In justifying his response, Biden turned the discussion into a gender warfare issue indicating that women, who currently need to work to have healthcare coverage, will no longer need to do so. That will supposedly allow them, to spend more time with their children.
For years those with basic economic understanding and common sense have expressed concern about the slippery slope that entitlements take the country. As more sugar is handed out by the government, motivation to work decreases along with the structural unemployment. Liberals have historically argued against this rationale, ignoring basic factors of human nature and greed. Leave it to Joe Biden to finally speak the truth about these governmental programs and their actual intent; make people dependent on government.

VP Joe Biden is at it again. This time he was confronted in an interview with a question submitted from a woman who offered concerns about the gun restrictions being proposed that will affect her future ability to protect herself.
Instead of admitting that the Obama administration has little concern for Americans self-defense needs, the VP stuttered and stammered before actually addressing the question. Biden came up with the following sage advice for women:
“ get a double barrel shotgun.”
“….just walk out on the balcony … put that double barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house. I promise you who’s ever coming in is not going, … you don’t need an AR 15. It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself.
“Buy a shotgun.”
This gibberish shows that the Vice President is either ignorant or believes those listening to him are. First, he suggests that the woman by a double barrel shotgun for protection and then shoot two shots to scare off the intruder. That leaves her defenseless and with an unloaded gun. What is she supposed to do if the intruder continues entering the house? Throw the shotgun at the perpetrator?
Then Biden proffers the view that the AR 15, a so-called assault rifle, is harder to aim and use for women. If this is actually the case, why is the Obama Administration singling out this weapon for removal from private citizens? Logic would dictate that if this gun was a more difficult to use it would not be the weapon of choice for crazy people. However, logic was never Biden’s strong suit.

Joe Biden is well-known for making miscues and outright dumb statements. This week he has also shown to be lacking in class, as seen in the videos below.
Joe Biden Knucklehead I
“Spread your legs are going to be frisked” to some newly elected politicos.
Joe Biden Knucklehead II
Getting a bit frisky with Senator King’s wife.
Joe Biden Knucklehead III
“If you need any help on your pecs, let me know” to an African-American senator.

Dave sent in this bit of levity for the day. It raises the question as to whether VP is merely prone to mistakes or lacks basic intelligence skills. Imagine what the mainstream media would have done to Sarah Palin had she made such blunders!

Last night’s debate between VP Joe Biden and Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan was lively. Irrespective of one’s political leanings it showed two competent debaters. This was in contrast to the first presidential debate between Obama and Romney that showed the President as an incompetent and detached debater.
The theme of the debate was straightforward. Ryan attacked the Obama Administration’s performance on the economy and in foreign policy. Biden attacked the positions taken by the Romney–Ryan team on various issues, especially economic ones. This difference offers electorate a clear choice. Either the Country gives the Obama Administration another four years to continue down a similar path traveled during the past four years or it seeks a new approach under a Romney administration.
The outcome of the vice presidential debate was more difficult to judge then the first presidential debate. A CNN/ORC International Poll of registered voters that watch the debate indicated by a 48% to a 44% that Ryan won the debate.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the debate was demeanor exhibited by Biden. He was often seen smirking or smiling while Ryan was speaking. Some viewers perceived this as disrespectful and inappropriate behavior. This issue will have little effect on the hard-core supporters on either side, but may impact some undecided voters especially women.

The signs of desperation are growing in the Obama campaign. Last week the Democrats accused Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney of causing the cancer death of a woman who supposedly lost her medical benefits, as including in posting, Obama Pointing to the Bottom of the Gutter. This week it is VP Joe Biden on the race to the bottom.
In a campaign speech in Danville, Virginia on Tuesday Biden incredibly said in the video posted below: “They’re going put y’ all back in chains”. This is nothing more than race-baiting at its obnoxious worst. It is another example of the radical Left attempting to divide the Country.
So much for Obama’s often repeating promise to be the president of all Americans. So much for changing the way Washington politics operates.
The vitriol and negatively coming from Leftist politicians has reached new heights under the tutelage of Barack Obama. Chicago politics have gone national.

Vice President Joe Biden recently spoke to the Philadelphia firefighters. Apparently the speech was not well-received. According to Business Insider, the local firefighters wanted Biden to favorably comment on an arbitration issue they are having with the city. Biden either purposely or by mistake made no mention of the issue.
A portion of Biden’s speech is posted below. Biden not only slurs words, but in seems a bit incoherent. This raises the question as to Biden’s competence or at the very least his alcohol consumption.

VP Joe Biden is not known for intellectual skills nor the ability to control his tongue. However, the Obama Administration has done a good job over the past year keeping Joe from the microphones. Last week they slipped.
On Friday Biden was at a political fundraiser breakfast at the Fairfax Hotel in Washington DC. For a mere $2,500 a plate, donors got the pleasure of being berated by the Vice President who said:
“I guess what I’m trying to say without boring you too long at breakfast – and you all look dull as hell, I might add. The dullest audience I have ever spoken to. Just sitting there, staring at me. Pretend you like me!”
The Vice President sure has an unusual way of thanking donors.

VP Joe Biden is at it again. According to politico.com, the White House put out a note today that stated:
“At 1:00 PM, the Vice President will attend a meeting of the Government Accountability and Transparency Board in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. At 2:30 PM, the Vice President will meet with representatives of the National Sheriffs’ Association in the Roosevelt Room. These meetings are closed press.”
This double talk is typical of the Obama Administration. While they talk about government “accountability” and “transparency”, the elitism and secrecy from this Administration is more reminiscent of what was seen in the Nixon Administration. So much for hope and change.
Infamous Joe Biden quotes:
- “Look, John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs.”
- “A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!”
- “When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.” [Note: First, FDR wasn’t president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and TV’s were only experimerntal.]
- “Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me.”
- “Stand up, Chuck, let ’em see ya.” [Biden, to Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair.]

The Washington Times reported that Vice President Joe Biden is renting a cottage on his property to the Secret Serve while they are protecting the VP and his family. According to the Times, Biden collected $13,000 from the agency for a rental cottage. In the federal purchasing contract, Biden can get up to $66,000 by fall of 2013 from the $2,200 per-month rent.
Fox News reported that the Bidens are the first president or vice president to charge the Secret Service for accommodations. While the Clintons were informed that they could charge for a property they allowed the agency to use, even they found that possibility distasteful and declined the income.
The Vice President deserves all of the protection that taxpayers can offer for his service. Further, this Blog does not begrudge Joe Biden from his capitalistic leanings. However, charging taxpayers for allowing the Secret Service to use one of his buildings while protecting his family does not jive with the Progressive talking-points about income redistribution that he and the administration he represents constantly spew.
With an income of about $380,000 for 2010, Biden is one of the “rich” that President Obama constantly rails against. Before asking others to give more to their government it behooves the VP to lead by example. He can start by giving back to taxpayers the money he charges the government for protecting his family.
