Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is known for making outrageous, partisan and downright stupid statements. However, even by these standards, Reid went over the top this week during comments he made to reporters after the weekly Democratic caucus meeting. In it, as included in the video below, Reid claims “the border is secure.” That ridiculous claim brings into question Reid’s sanity, if not his intelligence. Just imagine the clamoring from the mainstream media had Sarah Palin made such an outrageous comment.

For decades the Left has berated those who disagree with their Progressive agenda, attacking them personally instead of addressing their ideas. This often includes attacks on the intellect of the opposition. Going back to at least President Eisenhower, Republicans have been nearly continuously berated on their intellect.
While it is fair to say that the intellectual capabilities of individual Republicans vary from brilliant to lower capabilities, the broad attack on those with a conservative philosophy is nothing short of intellectual racism.
It is also fair to say that the Left has its share of intellectual lightweights, Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid among them. Below is a video clip with Jon Stewart showing the hollowness that is Harry Reid. You can’t make this stuff up!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is known for his hyper partisan politics and a willingness to use lies in attacks against opponents. One of the better known examples was his claim during the last presidential campaign that Mitt Romney did not pay income taxes. While the attack was proved false, Reid was unapologetic.
This week Reid was at it again, calling the Koch brothers un-American for supporting conservative candidates with their wallet. The attack was pure McCarthyism now embraced by the Liberal Left. However, it even made some on the Left uncomfortable as demonstrated by it being condemned by a media ally during MSNBC’s Morning Joe show. During the show, host Joe Scarborough correctly called Reid a liar and none of the other host or guest were willing to come to Reid’s defends. In fact even unabashed Democratic supporterMika Brzezinski criticized the Majority Leader indicating that she “cringed” at Reid’s comments.
The fact that Harry Reid is a partisan politician is not news. That could be said for most of his fellow senators on both sides of the political aisle. The fact that Reid is a liar places him in a bit smaller group of fellow senators. However, it is the way Harry Reid has damaged the stature of the office of the Majority Leader that is so disgraceful. It shows how little regard Reid has for his country.

Over the years the Left has often labeled those who disagree with them as having inferior intellect. This tact has been used since at least the 1950s when President Eisenhower’s intelligence was questioned. The false narrative followed others with right-leaning views including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. More recently, the IQ attacks have been focused on Republicans who may oppose Barack Obama in the upcoming presidential election, especially if they happen to be attractive women.
The likely genesis for the IQ attacks from the Left come from their elitist Northeast universities’ roots that foster Leftist philosophies. These attacks have allowed the Left to avoid debate on the merits of their policies. They are no more valid than the McCarthy attacks from the Right of the early 1950s that branded those with other views as Communists.
Dumbness is not reserved for those with Right-leaning political views. Leftist politicians have proven their ability to match the Right in this area. Examples include Joe Biden’s belief that “jobs” is a three letter word and Nancy Pelosi’s statement that legislation should be passed before its content is understood.
In August, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made a speech on the Senate floor in which he waxed on how he missed his pomegranate trees. The video below does not necessarily bring into question Reid’s IQ, but it certainly does raise some interesting questions on his fitness for the position of Senate Majority Leader.

As Blog reader Jim from PA pointed out when sending in this video: “They don’t even attempt to hid it anymore…”
These Progressive knuckleheads are incredible!

Senator Harry Reid, Democrat from Nevada, yesterday called for his state to ban its legalized brothels. It seems Prince Harry wants to add to the State’s 14% unemployment rate.
In justifying his belated call for making the brothels illegal in Nevada, Reid claims that prostitution has harmed the State’s image and therefore investment into the State. “If we want to attract businesses to Nevada that puts people back to work, the time has come for us to outlaw prostitution.”
Reid’s position is a laughable given that his state’s largest business is gambling and vices that come along with it. Does he really believe that removing the sin from sin-city will lead to revenue growth in Nevada? Probably so given this same guy has indicated that ObamaCare will put millions on the healthcare dole, but somehow lower total costs.
While the Right is often accused of attempting to legislate morality, the Left is also willing to stick its noise into peoples’ bedrooms. The government has no business monitoring or legislating morality, tasks that belong in churches, families and local communities.

Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, made an incredibly narcissistic and an unsubstantiated claim even for a politician when he said:
“But for me we’d be in a worldwide depression”.
Reid was willing to make such an outrageous claim since he was being interviewed on the radical Leftist, The Ed Show and knew he would not be called to substantiate the claim.
Mr. Reid, while it can be argued as to whether the Stimulus Package pushed through by you and your Progressive pals did any good, it cannot be argued that governmental intervention into the markets in years leading u to the meltdown caused the problem in the first place.
Let us not be too hard on Reid for his outrageous claim. Progressives philosophically believe that only they can save lower forms of humans from themselves.

In another example of modern-day Progressive racism, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid proclaims: “I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican.” A link to a video of Reid’s statement is included below.
Besides being racists, Reid incorrectly stereotypes all those with a Spanish language heritage into a monolithic group. How preposterous!
Also linked below is a video by one Hispanic, Marco Rubio, who takes exception to Reid’s rant.
It is time for Progrssives to stop dividing Americans by race, gender or sexual preference. It is un-Constitutional, beside being racist.

Let’s start with yet another tale of Washington stupidity. Senator Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada and Senate Majority Leader, made a speech on the Senate floor doing what he does best, blaming Republicans link below). He stated:
“Isn’t it a good thing today in America that we have an automobile manufacturing sector? If it had been up to them [Republicans], General Motors would be gone. If it were up to them, Ford Motor Company would probably be gone. Chrysler definitely would be gone.”
Someone ought to inform Mr. Reid that Ford didn’t receive any bailout money. In fact, had we not bailed out their failed competitors, Ford would even be larger and more profitable then they now are. Just imagine the screams from the media had Sarah Palin said something this stupid!
Undoubtedly with Progressives spending trillions, it’s hard to remember where a mere $65 billion went.

Less than two hours after this Blog posted the story of Harry Reid’s racist comments, I received a Breaking News story from the lame-stream media, CNN, posted below. Was it about the Reid incident? No, CNN has not deemed that important enough for a Breaking News story. What’s more important to CNN was the announcement that Jay Leno’s TV time was changed. And this from the media that has had the gall to question Sarah Palin’s IQ. Case closed!
