Chicago Killings Continue

Posted by Steve Markowitz on December 28, 2014

While protests over the deaths of two young black men in Ferguson and New York City by police continue, little attention goes to the greater ongoing carnage in American cities. That carnage is epitomized by the events in Chicago, Illinois.

During last weekend alone, three were killed and 25 wounded in the Windy City. That capped off a year of carnage in Chicago that according to HeyJackass includes so far over the 450 killings, mostly of African-American men. Where is the outrage over these deaths? Where are the questions about the efficacy of one of the Nation’s strictest gun-control laws in Chicago?
