Special Perks Allow Congressman to Avoid Perils of Obamacare

The problems millions of Americans face with the Obamacare rollout have been well-documented. Not so well documented is a story in the New York Times of the special perks Congressmen receive to avoid the perils that ordinary citizens encounter under the new health care bill.
According to the Times, major insurers have “in-person support sessions” in the capital building to assist Congress members and their staffs in signing up for the Obamacare exchanges. These political elites also have access to special hotlines. Adding insult to injury, the politicians and their assistants have more options under a special “gold tier” program. These perks give special meaning to the term “public servants”.
The special dispensation politicians receive under Obamacare is just one additional grotesque example of how Washington rapes taxpayers. While both political parties have their own constituents, their mutual desire for power and wealth is the basis of corruption that is Washington DC.
