The Obamacare Lie: You can Keep Your Insurance
Posted by Steve Markowitz on October 31, 2013
For three years leading up to the implementation of Obamacare on October 1, 2013, President Obama emphatically promised Americans that if they liked their then current medical plans they would be able to keep them “period”. That turned out to be at best a president out of touch with his signature program, but more likely a lie.
It is been interesting watching the President and his allies make excuses for yet another broken presidential promise. Earlier this week FOXNews’ Megyn Kelly interviewed one apologists, Democratic strategists Mark Hannah shown in the video below. With estimates that up to 14 million Americans might have their current insurance policies canceled, Kelly got right to the point and asked: “Was he intentionally misleading, or was there some argument that he was grossly mistaken?”
Incredibly, towards the end of the video Hannah placed blame on the news media, claiming they “underreported” the fact that many Americans would not be able keep their current health insurance plans under Obamacare. Yikes, these folks have no shame. But we should expect no more from Obama supporters who have given in to the President’s own proclivity to blame others for his mistakes.
