Anthony Weiner Whines Conceding Defeat

Posted by Steve Markowitz on September 15, 2013

In a sign that New Yorkers have a great deal of common sense, they rejected the comeback attempts of Anthony (Oscar Meyer) Weiner and Elliott (call-a-girl) Spitzer.  Weiner has a propensity to personal lewd photographs and text messages to women not requesting them.  Spitzer, who created his political fortunes going after lawbreakers on Wall Street, was caught in the illegal acts of using prostitutes.  Both resigned their political position in disgrace.  Both now are kindred spirits in being rejected by your voters for their comeback attempts.

Below is a video of Weiner conceding the election after being soundly defeated in the Democratic primary to run for the New York City mayor’s office.  Weiner’s speech was more appropriate of a third grader who got rejected for the tryout of his or hers first school play.  The speech also included a rambling statement on how he has always fought for the middle class.  Once again Weiner is being disingenuous.  His tears were not for the middle class, but for the knowledge that his political career is over.  Now he has to go hunt for a real job.  That for Weiner is a real crisis.
