Pastor Attacks Religious Right During Easter Sermon Attended by Obamas

Posted by Steve Markowitz on April 1, 2013

During Sunday’s Easter service attended by the First Family, President Obama received an earful from the pulpit.  As reported on the blazecom, Rev. Luis Leon went on a tirade at St. John’s Episcopal Church stating:  “It drives me crazy when the captains of the religious right are always calling us back…for blacks to be back in the back of the bus…for women to be back in the kitchen…for immigrants to be back on their side of the border.”

Pastor Leon’s rant is typical of the radical Left.  Anyone who disagrees with their Progressive agenda is demonized without discussion to actual policies or positions.  Through this tactic, as with the McCarthyite’s of the 1950s, they strive to cut off all intellectual discussion on the issues.

This is not the first time President Obama has shown up at a church where the pastor preached hatred.  Prior to running for his first term, then candidate Obama was found to have attended the bigoted sermons of Rev. Jeremiah Wright for nearly 20 years.  Then, his excuse was he did not hear the bigotry in Wright’s words.  This time around the Left will likely ask us to listen to the “context” of Leon’s intolerant words when judging them.  That is a slippery slope the Left is traveling down for intolerance and bigotry are self-evident and words have meaning.
