Entitlement Programs’ Bonanza

Posted by Steve Markowitz on February 6, 2013

Former Republican governor, Mike Huckabee, posted brief comments comparing the “benefits” of government entitlements versus the median household income of working Americans.  This simple comparison, posted below, is telling.  Given human nature, the comparison helps explain the change in the work ethic of Americans in recent years.

President Obama often makes the statement that all Americans must pay their “fair share”.  The fact that he refuses to define this by amount proves it is rhetoric.  The President understands that putting a number on this “fair share” will limit government’s ability to take money from some Americans and give it to others.  In addition, such an objective look at the “fair share” might lead to the Country defining what the “fair share” of entitlements is for individual Americans.
