Leftist Press Buries San Antonio Movie Theater Shooting Incident

Posted by Steve Markowitz on December 31, 2012

Two days after the Connecticut school tragedy, a public shooting took place in San Antonio, Texas that has not received appropriate national publicity.  In this occurrence, the perpetrator shot an ex-girlfriend in a parking lot and then entered a nearby theater to inflict additional carnage.  Fortunately for those in the theater an off-duty sheriff’s deputy was also in the theater and shot the gunman before any damage could be inflicted.

The difference in the way the publicity has been handled by the press for the two events are telling.  Everyone knows the name of the Connecticut killer.  However, no one knows the name of the hero in San Antonio who happened to have a gun in the movie theater.

Below is an article published in the Huffington Post on the San Antonio shooting.  Missing from the closing paragraph is a statement about how fortunate theater-goers were that a good guy with a gun happen to be in the locale at that time.
