Government is the Problem

Posted by Steve Markowitz on November 5, 2012

Ronald Reagan once famously said: “… government isn’t the solution to our problems, government is the problem.”  It is the philosophy behind this concept that is at the heart of tomorrow’s presidential election.  While Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is not a true Libertarian-type conservative, his view of government’s responsibilities is more restrictive than that of the Leftist President Barack Obama.  Those that vote tomorrow for Obama seek still more government intervention and intrusion into society and individual liberties.

While four years ago a vote for Barack Obama could well of been a vote for hope and change, the past four years have proven otherwise.  Washington remains dysfunctional and those with political and economic power continue to prosper at the expense of middle America. While a President Romney would not guarantee change in the way Washington works, a second term for Barack Obama guarantees a continuation of the past four years.
