New York Muslim Parade Turns Into anti-American and Anti-Semitic Rant

Posted by Steve Markowitz on September 26, 2012

This past weekend the New York Muslim Day parade was held in Manhattan.  At the request of its organizers, New York Democratic State Sen. Tom Trento agreed to be the parade’s marshal.  At the end of the parade Muslim dignitaries offered speeches that included anti-American and anti-Semitic rants.

A female speaker offered the following in her speech:  “We have the unborn martyrs in our wombs and drop bombs in here because all that we blow up is minds in the minefields.  They (Palestinians) resonate in refugee camps and housed by Zionists Nazis”. There is no attempt to hide this anti-Semitism.  Why should she given the audience’s proclivity toward such racism?

A New York Imam said: “The freedom of speak and freedom of rights our problem starts.  So, I would like to demand United Nations to make an international law that would criminalize blasphemy.  I again demand to the United Nations and this platform please make an international law for the protection of honor of our beloved prophet”.  There is a growing call within the international Muslim community that is also finding its way into America’s Muslim community to curtail freedom of speech and to circumvent the U.S. Constitution.  This is a very dangerous and slippery slope that demands immediate pushback by all Americans, especially from the President of the United States.

To his credit, State Sen. Trento was appalled by the speeches.  He appropriately got up in the middle the speech and left the stage, as shown in the video below.  More politicians need Trento’s backbone.

National politicians often profess the peaceful intentions from the Muslim community.  While true of many individual Muslims, it is not borne out in their public pronouncements or gatherings.  The acquiescence of New York City’s Muslim community to the hate speech that was allowed to be part of their parade is telling.

Steve…in regards to your last paragraph, especially this sentence—“While true of many individual Muslims, it is not borne out in their public pronouncements or gatherings.”—I am reminded of Winston Churchills famous quote concerning Moslems…

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.…A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities … but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.” [The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pp. 248-50.]

We’ve been at war with Islam for a thousand years give or take, and it looks like things are heating up again
