Chick-Fil-A Incident Shows Left’s Intolerance

Posted by Steve Markowitz on August 16, 2012

Chick-Fil-A is a restaurant chain that made its success selling chicken sandwiches that people like.  The chain has over 1,600 restaurants in 39 states.

The owner of Chick-Fil-A is S. Truett Cathy is a devout Southern Baptist.  In keeping with his religious beliefs, the restaurants are closed on Sundays, a day that would be very lucrative for the company if they were open.  In addition, Mr. Cathy supports political and social organizations that agree with his religious convictions.

After Cathy publicly announced he did not support in same-sex marriage, some in the gay community decided to attack his business interests.  While this is their prerogative, it travels down a slippery slope.  People should base purchase decisions on the quality and pricing of the products, not on the beliefs of those who make or sell them.  Not too long ago in one of the most progressive countries of Europe, Germany, people boycotted businesses only because they were owned by Jews who had different beliefs.  History showed that to be slope that ended badly for the entire world.

The most obnoxious reactions to Chick-Fil-A came from radical Leftist politicians including Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, former Obama Chief of Staff.   This knucklehead had the gall to publicly announce he would try to inhibit Chick-Fil-A‘s for doing business in Chicago.

So often the rhetoric coming from President Obama includes the words civility and tolerance.  Unfortunately, neither the President nor his associates walk the talk.  They are, in fact, one of the most intolerant group to ever gain power in the Country.

The humor helps below defines this sad story.
