Obama Goes to Court to Restrict Military Votes

Posted by Steve Markowitz on August 7, 2012

Breitbart.com reported on a story that the mainstream media has not surprisingly ignored.  In mid-July the Obama for America Campaign, Democratic National Committee, and Ohio Democratic Party went to court in Ohio in an effort to make it more difficult for active military persons to vote.  The Democrats attacked part of Ohio’s law for being “arbitrary” and with “no discernible rational basis.”

Here’s what the Democrats do not like.  In Ohio, its citizens are allowed to vote early, up until the Friday before the election.  Military personnel are allowed three additional days.  Given the special responsibilities of active military personnel, the Ohio law seems neither “arbitrary” nor with “no discernible rational basis.”

The real problem for the Democrats is that military personnel are more likely to vote Republican than for Leftist causes.  Anything they can do to help stuff ballot boxes is standard operating procedure for the Left.  That is why Democrats go so berserk when the issue of voter fraud is raised.  Such fraud is most likely to benefit their Party.  As they say in Chicago, vote early and vote often.
