Obamas Juvenile Fundraising Video

Posted by Steve Markowitz on August 2, 2012

Four years ago when running for the presidency, Barack Obama and his PR team managed a very sophisticated.  Besides focusing on the theme of “hope and change”, the PR helped present the image of a person who was much more than a junior senator and community organizer.  This time around they have lost their touch.

Some of the President’s current advertising makes him look like less than a president, as exemplified in the advertisement from YouTube posted below.  In this area, the president says: “I want to make sure folks know I’m not just talking the talk—I’m walking the walk,” as he donates $5,000 to his own campaign.  While my thousand dollars is the limit an individual can donate, there is no limit on how much a candidate can place in his own campaign. That certainly doesn’t seem like his “fair share”.  Then, in the attempt at humor Obama says: “I have cleared this with Michelle“.  Hmmmmmmm.
