NAACP and Atty. Gen. Holder Show Hypocrisy at Convention

Posted by Steve Markowitz on July 10, 2012

Blog reader Jim sent this story in of Leftist more hypocrisy.

The setting is the NAACP convention being held in Houston, Texas.  One of its early speakers, wise CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous who railed against the efforts by some states to require its voters to have photo ID’s stating “We must overwhelm the rising tide of voting suppression with the high tide of registration and mobilization and motivation and protection“.

Another speaker at today’s convention was Attorney General Eric Holder who has not only come out publicly against voter ID laws (see video below), but is suing the state of Texas for its law claiming it is “discriminatory”.  While Jealous and Holder attack states for attempting to require IDs for voting, the NAACP required photo IDs and more for anyone attending their convention with their press release stating: “All media must present government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) as well as valid media credentials.”

It is amazing is how Leftists can talk out of both sides of their mouth and still keep a straight face.
