CNN’s Candy Crowley Throws Obama Administration Tough Questions

Posted by Steve Markowitz on June 18, 2012

The winds of change are beginning to blow over the mainstream media’s fawning of Barack Obama.  During his run for the presidency and during most of his first three years in office the press not only refused to ask Obama the tough questions normally given America’s political leaders, but even made excuses for failed policies.  There are signs that the honeymoon has ended.

This past weekend CNN’s Candy Crowley interviewed Obama’s chief advisor David Plouffe.  With a pit bull type approach, Ms. Crowley grilled Plouffe with questions that included why the President would any more success implementing these policies in the next four years than has occurred during the first four.  Not surprisingly, as seen in the video below, Plouffe was evasive and even unprepared for the questions.  This unpreparedness will be ongoing problem for Administration that has not been used to receiving tough questions from the press.
