Elizabeth Warren Wins Big in Massachusetts

Posted by Steve Markowitz on June 6, 2012

Massachusetts U.S. Senatorial candidate, Elizabeth Warren, was the subject of this Blog’s May 6 posting, Jehmu Greene Plays Race Card.  In background information that she supplied the Harvard University Warren claimed minority status as supposedly Native American.  However, while Warren has no written proof of her ethnic background, at most she is 1/32nd Native American.  Either Ms. Warren purposely misrepresented her status to take advantage of affirmative action or she had a bad case of Anglo guilt.

Ms. Warren’s false claim of minority status should have been enough to remove her from consideration as a US Senator.  However, the Massachusetts Democratic Party had no problems with the misrepresentation.  Over the weekend it gave Ms. Warren a margin of victory of 96% of the delegates.  This margin kept her nearest competitor under 15% assuring her that she would not have to face a primary election battle in September.

The political elitists in Massachusetts do what they typically do in both parties; protect the party and its powerbrokers.  This latest example in Massachusetts is another indicator as to why a movement like the Tea Party is so important if this Country is to see real hope and change.
