Newsweek Cover Attempts to Canonizes Obama

Posted by Steve Markowitz on May 15, 2012

The mainstream media and its major news magazine allies seem to be losing it the closer we get to the presidential November election.  This Blog yesterday included the posting “Time Magazine Steps Over the Line with Breast-Feeding Photo about a photo of the narcissistic mom breast-feeding her three-year-old son in posed positions on Time’s cover.

Not to be outdone, Newsweek followed this week with a cover matching Time’s in outrageousness.  The photo pictures President Obama in a saintly pose with a halo above his head in the colors of the rainbow, a symbol of the gay and transgender movements.  For those not hip enough to understand the meanings of the colors, the cover included the heading “The First Gay President“.

The goal of an editor in choosing a cover for a magazine is first and foremost to help sell their rags.  Running a close second with the Leftist press is pursuing their Progressive agenda.  Certainly in this case, Newsweek will achieve the second goal.  Certainly no one can glean facts from this cover since Barack Obama is neither a saint nor gay.  So much for Newsweek being a serious news publication.
