Obama Plays Race Card with African-American Churches

Posted by Steve Markowitz on March 2, 2012

The video below is pure Barack Obama.  Here, a President who is supposed to represent all Americans once again divides us into competing groups.  While introducing “African-Americans for Obama“, the President is basically calling on African-Americans to vote for him because of the color of his skin.  The video shows marchers with posters of Martin Luther King.  However, it must be remembered that Dr. King rightly chastised Americans for judging men by the color of their skin.  It make one wonders what he would have thought of Barack Obama’s approach.

In the video, President Obama says ” … you can build a nation where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody does their fair share, and everybody plays by the same rules.” This raises some serious questions for the President.  First and foremost, if he truly wants everyone to play by the same rules, why does he divide us into subsets of Americans?  Why does he not call for a flat tax and the elimination of all deductions so that everybody does indeed play by the same rules?

It is a shame that Barack Obama, who was elected with so much promise and broad-based support, has squandered his political capital so much.  In the 1960s, it was the Right through the Republican Party that created its race-based “Southern Strategy” to obtain and hold power.  It is now the radical Left through its leader Barack Obama, that plays the race card for to nobler purpose.
