Cynthia Tucker Distorts Voter Discontent; Claims Racism

Posted by smarko1 on September 6, 2010

Bog reader Jim Mahoney forwarded a story today that ties together many of the ills our country now faces including political correctness, lack of an independent media, the frequent use of the claim of racism and Progressive dribble.

This story unfolded on Leftist MSNBC’s The Chris Matthews Show.  Yes, this is the same Chris Matthews that said during the presidential campaign that when he listened to Obama, he “felt this thrill going up my leg”.

Well, Cynthia Tucker has outdone Matthews claiming that the coming Democrat thrashing in the November elections will be due to racism stating: “We haven’t talked about the elephant in the room, and I don’t mean the Republicans: race. Changing demographics.  Fear of a white minority.”  Below is the totality of this outrageous claim, as well as the video clip of Ms. Tucker’s dribble which is akin to a child throwing a temper tantrum when they do not get their way.

History will view the election of Barack Obama as a positive turning point in American politics.  Prior to his election the Country was facing death by a thousand knives as Progressives whittled away at America’s values from the edges with programs designed to make us wards of the state.  These small attacks on the edges had a stealth affect, hiding the true intent of the programs.  However, they had a huge cumulative effect on country.

The election of radical Leftist Obama and his super majorities in both houses of Congress brought an end to the Progressive’s stealth approach with the President promising to fundamentally change America.  The President rammed through one radical program after another that the Americans who voted for him did not want.  The electorate’s desires are of no concerns to Progressives like Obama who believe themselves intellectually superior.

The first two years of Leftist control of the Country educated Americans as to the effects of the Progressive plan.  They have not liked what they saw and the implemented programs have failed.  It is this reality that now infuriates Cynthia Tucker and her Progressive allies.

Ms. Tucker’s anger at the failings of Obama’s policies has blinded her from reality.  She has already forgotten that Obama was elected president with the support of a huge portion of white voters.  They have not become racist in less than two years.  No, they are anger at the failing of this President and the misrepresentation he made to get elected.  It is the arrogance of the Left as epitomized by Ms. Tucker, and yes our President, that will bring fundamental change to America,  Fortunately for the Country, it is not the change sought by Progressives.

CYNTHIA TUCKER, ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION: Well I think it may help the Democrats in some races this time, Chris, because some of the Tea Party candidates are so extreme.  But there is another issue.  There is, as Norah said, a whole lot of voter anger, discontent out there.  We haven’t talked about the elephant in the room, and I don’t mean the Republicans: race. Changing demographics. Fear of a white minority.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, HOST: That’s so interesting.

TUCKER: Obama’s election has suddenly made many white Americans aware of the loss of a white majority.

MATTHEWS: That’s so interesting.

TUCKER: That’s what this crazy summer has been all about.  Anti-mosque construction. Anti-immigrant ravings.  It, that fear is very difficult for Obama to overcome.

This election is shaping up to be a beat down of epic proportions. The current polling numbers look even stronger than when the Republicans took over congress in 1994. Although we are hurting as a result of Obama’s policies I am more optimistic at this point than I would have been if John McCain had won the election. If McCain had won we would have been nearly in the same position as we are now since Mister “Reach Across the Aisle” would have let the Democrat congress run wild with one Socialist spending bill after another. If McCain were president the media would be giving him the full blame for the faltering economy. The way the liberals have full ownership of this mess and the voters know it. This election may give us the opportunity to finally discredit liberalism once and for all. I take the shrill warnings from the leftist talking heads as proof that he conservative message is resonating with voters.
